The Inspired Youth League
The Inspired Youth League is a ten-week summer fellowship for 10-14 year old American and Canadian Muslims that are aspiring to change the world with their words, ideas, and creativity. Whether your canvas is YouTube like ZaidAliTV or the dinner table like MyHalalKitchen or the digital newspaper like Ummah Wide our goal is to help you get there.
We have designed a ten-week curriculum that allows fellows to: (a) gain exposure to various forms art through weekly online webinars featuring American-Muslim creative leaders, (b) tactically learn how to create various forms of art from creative leaders and weekly coursework, and (c) experiment with creative development through creating a form of art in our secret (but, totally awesome) “final exhibit.” The art will be publicly displayed. Fellows will also play a critical role in advising Noor Kids in its future creative development.
The fellowship will include speakers and lessons within the following disciplines:
- Comedy
- Culinary arts
- Film-making
- Journalism
- Photography
- Storytelling
- Spoken Word (Poetry)
The program runs from June 26, 2015 – August 28, 2015. Any questions can be sent to mahvish@noorkids.com.
