Saharish is an accidental tech grad and 21st-century nomad, who always knew that writing was her real passion. Inspired to write Islamic stories and poetry for children after she had her first child, she wrote numerous short stories and poems for Sisters Magazine and Little Explorers UK for over eight years.
She decided to take her writing to the next level after a challenge posted in her local Writer's club. That's when she published her first children’s book, “I Will Not Clean My Room”, a tale of a little boy who prefers to daydream of Jannah instead of doing his chores.
She’s homeschooled her now four children for over seven years and led numerous classes for children as well. The close proximity to children brought with it the opportunity to observe them closely and put together stories inspired by real-life challenges faced by Muslim children. She particularly enjoys teaching creative writing and currently works as a freelance writer in an effort to expand her literary horizons. Her favorite part of writing the Noor Kids stories is playing out the stories in her mind as if the Noor Kids were real and then sharing her ideas with her own children. She currently lives in Oman with her husband and four children and is always planning their
next adventure.
