The Social Media Role:
Engaging our supporters through Facebook, email marketing, Instagram, and Twitter has been key to our success. Given that our organization's only touch point with consumers is via internet communication, social media marketing is integral to increasing our awareness and trial. While our day-to-day voice on our social media platforms is currently managed, we need help with larger and more strategic marketing efforts. Specifically, we need assistance:
- Creating a social media strategy to increase awareness and stimulate trial for our products
- Planning and executing quarterly marketing/promotion campaigns (i.e. Eid, Hajj, book launches, other ideas)
- Analytically examine effectiveness of social media efforts to uncover best practices
- Development of weekly/bi-weekly content (i.e. YouTube video, printables, blog entries)
You will be working directly with our highly experienced executive team, Mohammed Aaser and Amin Aaser
Qualifications:
- Academic training in communication, marketing, entrepreneurship, or other related field
- Demonstration of active immersion in the social space i.e. blog, twitter, pinterest, etc
- Experience developing content and planning/executing social media campaigns
- Creative and analytic thinker, able to propose new and different solutions to existing problems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interest in American Muslim community
- Enthusiastic and self-motivated work style
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms
- A time commitment 10 hours per week for 6-8 weeks (perhaps longer)
